Vacancy Description:
Our customer is looking to appoint a Project Manager for 2 month contract. The post holder will be responsible for managing a project to scope user needs of an information system to support surveillance and then to manage the delivery of that system for a specific public authority.
He/she will be required to use their existing strong project management skills to coordinate their work as part of an overarching surveillance programme. The outputs of the project will contribute to a programme to specify and deliver a state-of-the-art surveillance system to allow all users to access data appropriately whilst minimising data entry overheads.
The project will require an understanding of health informatics, information technology and information standards as well as knowledge of pathology and the functions of a laboratory. The post will require the post holder to conduct process mapping exercises and process redesign in conjunction with the project board and other stakeholders.
The post holder will be required to author complex and detailed documents and contribute to development of the organisations corporate data dictionary. The post holder will be familiar with all standard MS Office products as well as MS Access and MS Project. The project is technically complex and will be run consistently to the PRINCE2 project management methodology.
